Can somone sue me over a not paid item on ebay? I recently bid on an auction, and wanted to try out an ebay sniping program called JBidwatcher. I entered how much I wanted to bid, and selected the right auction, and then in the last 10 seconds it bid for me, and I won the item. Unfortunately, the program bid way more than I had entered! I explained to the seller that the software had glitched or something, and he threatened to sue me! I realize it is an inconvenience, but there is an option to offer the item to the second highest bidder for their maximum bid. I don't know why he isn't willing to do this. Would he have a chance in court over an issue like this?

How exactly does sniping on Ebay work? Say I decide to "snipe" something. I enter in my maximum bid and choose the 5 second cut off. Does that mean that my sniper software will automatically outbid the other person 5 seconds before the auction ends up to the amount of my maximum bid? Or will it automatically start bidding and then keep bidding (if I am out bid) until 5 seconds before the auction ends? Can someone explain exactly how this works? If an item I'm bidding on is currently 10 dollars but I put my bid in at 40 dollars, is the sniping software going to bid 40 dollars 10 seconds before the auction ends, or is it going to continue to bid UP TO 40 dollars before the auction ends?

I have pre- designed a ebay auction page using software "Web Page Maker", how do i apply it to my ebay auction I have been using a software called: "Web page maker" to create my Ebay auction designs. However whenever i would try to apply the software provided HTML code to the Ebay HTML section errors would arise. So i figured out i would have to publish my design on the internet to have my images load on my ebay auction. So i published my created page on my geocities.com account and tried to use the HTML code from my published web page and apply it to my Ebay HTML, but i would still get error messages or the results would come out scrambled, overlapping the pre-existing ebay page. is the a way to simply refer my whole geocities.com created auction page to my ebay auction section? is there anyone fluent in the complex language of HTML Code?

Can you resell software on ebay, even if you have installed it once on your own computer? Is their any good well known auction sites besides eBay? I would like to switch because I'm fed up with eBay. eBay keeps raising their listing fees and other selling fees. eBay just recently suspended me for selling a DVD Writer, which I think is totally absurd. They said it violated circumvention policy. The policy states that I can not list any hardware or software the enables users to copy copyright material. A DVD Writer by itself does not enable users to copy protected video games, DVD's, or software, you must have special software to do this, I did not list any software like that. I could understand if I was selling something like a DVD duplicator, because this stand alone device allows users to copy protected material without the need of software. If this is true then wouldn't selling a pc with a built in cd/dvd writer also violate this policy. What about PC's. This would also enable users to download copyright contact material, does this mean they should also be banned. I had it with eBay and would like a better auction site. Their are hundreds of cd/dvd writers on eBay, so I can see its not against any policy. I have had it with eBay and want to switch to a better policy.

Open a PHP Auction Site - What Software To Use? I'm interested in starting an online auction website, with functions similar to eBay. I need to be able to change all aspects of it like layout/design. I don't want to have to display the creators web address or show any association with another website. Basically I want a auction that appears as if I created it, preferably for a one-time fee. Do you use a good auction management application like Shooting Star? I like Shooting Star, but I can't justify the $120 cost of the program for the small amount of auctions that I do. At the rate I sell stuff on eBay, it'd take me six months to pay for the software. Are there other programs that do what Shooting Star does -- edits listings, tracks sales, prints invoices, posts feedback, etc.? I know all of this can be done through eBay directly, but that history expires, eventually, and it's time consuming to do it through the web site.

I was sold a burnt CD, should I give this guy negative feedback on eBay? I bought a CD on eBay, and I got a burnt CD. I expected the CD to be from the actual company that produces that software, not something he burnt on his computer. I've re-read the auction many times, over and over, trying to see if I missed something. But the auction doesn't say anywhere that is a burnt CD or a new one, but you'd figure it's a new one. I want to give him a negative feedback, but I have 100% possitive feedback. I'm affraid he'll give me negative feedback back from giving him a bad one. Should I give him negative feedback? The auction just doesn't say if it's an original or a copy, but one figures it's an original unless it states is a copy.
