ebay sniping software, I have just bid on an item and been outbid at the last second!?
Which is tremendously irritating, please can anyone suggest a reliable sniping tool which is available currently, I had one a couple of years ago but it stopped working and the producer must have dissappeared with many thousands of fees paid whom I was unfortunately one of!!!!

- I hate that last second stuff. How do they do it? What is a sniping tool?
- Well the sniping tools are annoying, but to make them useless is to bid the max amount you are willing to spend on an item. If someone snipes you at the end, they are paying more for it that you are willing to pay anyway. Almost everytime this has happened, I was able to find what I was looking for cheaper. Good luck!
- I am sorry to hear you got scammed, but if you want something make sure you bid high enough to stop others over bidding you.
- Maybe there's an innocent explanation - like someone really wanted the item, and was logged into Ebay watching the clock tick away, and waited til the last minute to bid.
- . The way I see it, sniping should never be a problem on eBay. The way that eBay itself will hold your highest bid and keep bidding up against opposing bidders for you should obviate any attempts to snipe. The only way a sniper could get something away from you is if they are willing to pay more for it than you are willing to pay. That's kind of what an auction is all about, isn't it? Let's say I want a car and I'm willing to pay $1000 for it. I see one I like and the current bid is $450. If I put in my bid of $1000, the current bid (my currently-winning bid) will be $500 and my max stays at a thousand. As other people bid against me, I keep "winning" against them, as long as they don't go over my $1000 max. Even if a sniper comes in at the last minute and bids $900, my thousand still beats him. But if he comes in and bids $1800 at the last second, I lose it to him with a bid of $1050 and it looks like I only lost by fifty bucks. But if I were willing to pay more than the thousand, then I should have put in a maximum bid of more than a thousand. Sure, the sniper ended up with the car, but he paid more than I was willing to pay. So what have I lost? Nothing. As far as I'm concerned, he paid too much for the car. Let eBay do your bidding for you and let the snipers do what they're going to do. Either you will win or they will pay too much. .
- dont bid until the very last second this way the price stays down and 90% of the time you win this is what i do and it works all the time. trust me it works
- I always use www.hammersnipe.com. If you're an occasional bidder, you can snipe 3 auctions per week for free. If like me you can buy loads, it's a reasonable subscription rate and I've never had any problems All the best
- Gixen.com is the best web based sniper. Bid-O-Matic and JBidWatcher are the best desktop snipers. All are free, there is no reason to pay, although many fee-charging services still exist. Links: http://www.gixen.com/ http://sourceforge.net/projects/bom/ http://www.jbidwatcher.com/
