Fake bids on eBay with some type of software? (user r***h, h***i, etc...)?
I keep finding "ODD" bidder names such as this : http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=220236979109 . All have very similar profile names and then a "regular" name will win the bid. I keep seeing this happening. This can not be a mistake or coincident. This looks likes someone (many) have bought a software that makes fake bids until their product is at the price they are willing to sell at. Please tell me what is up!! Thanks

- its just to keep their ID private, no software sry
- Same happens with me. Probably soo many users on ebay those are the only names they have left.
- It's legit. Go back to your own link and eBay explains it in a box just above the list. Briefly, it's for privacy reasons. Only the ID of the winning bidder is showed completely.
- ebay's doing this, not the bidders. There's a particular type of scam where scammers send the bidders fake "Second Chance" offers. If they can't get the bidder's real ID's, the scam doesn't work, so ebay hides the real ID's. It's nothing you need to worry about - the bidders themselves are legit.
