i bided on software on ebay today and then like 2 hours later i got out bided so i went i bought the same software from ebay but from a different seller and now i payed for that one but i just looked at my ebay and it says i was sent a invoice for the first software that i bided on but i got out bided on can they really do that i was out bided so i bought it from a different seller???

- Hi - First of all, Ebay is a 100% upstanding, honest company. If they ever did make a mistake they will fix it and make it right. But, no, they can't bill you for an item you did not win. Did you get an email notice that you "won" the first auction? If not, then you can't be billed for it. When you win an auction Ebay doesn't send an invoice - you must manually log on and "pay" the seller for the item. Is it possible that the invoice they sent was for the software you actually bought? Was that software listed as "buy it now"? The invoice you got was probably not from Ebay. They only send an invoice if you sell something through them. The invoice you got was probably from the seller of the software you bought? Anyway - you can ask them about it. Go to Ebay.com, log in, and click the Help link at the top right of the screen. Choose "Contact Us" from the menu. Put a tick in the "Buying and Finding" box. Now just follow the screens till you get to a box to type in your question. They usually will answer you within a day. An even better option is go to Ebay.com and click the "Live Help" link at the top right of the screen. You'll get a little pop-up dialog box that will connect you to a live person in a couple minutes. Just type in your question and they'll answer it right then. Good luck, Donk
