On ebay, why do people bid on auctions so early? Do they expect to win?
For example, auctions that start at $0.01 or $0.99 can go up to over $50 because people bid too early and slowly drive up the price. Wouldn't it be smarter to wait until the end and snipe a good deal? If you're going to bid that high, why not go to the store and buy the thing? Seems kind of stupid to me.

- The thing with ebay is that things can get very cheap and affordable and for the people who cannot afford the $50 games or expensive computers or any other things, they turn to ebay. And think about it.. The thing you buy will be practially the same thing in stores but more expensive. There are also new and packaged things there. And for the "stupid people" they arn't, they are just looking for a good deal.
